Urine Drug Screening

Get Tested When Employment Requires It

Family First Urgent Care provides urine drug screening services when you need accurate results for work or legal requirements.

When your employer requires a drug screening or you need testing for court-ordered compliance, you need results processed correctly the first time. Family First Urgent Care uses lab-certified collection procedures that follow chain-of-custody protocols, so your test holds up under review. We handle pre-employment screenings, random workplace testing, and post-incident panels without requiring you to wait days for an appointment.

Our collection process follows Department of Transportation guidelines and uses sealed specimen containers sent directly to certified laboratories. You provide a sample under monitored conditions, receive a collection receipt, and results are sent to the requesting party within the timeframe specified by your employer or legal representative. We test for standard five-panel and ten-panel drug classes, including amphetamines, opiates, cannabinoids, cocaine, and phencyclidine.

If you need a urine drug screening completed today, contact Family First Urgent Care to confirm availability and bring any paperwork your employer or attorney provided.

How the collection and lab process works

You arrive with any forms provided by your employer or legal representative, and our staff verifies your identification before escorting you to a private restroom equipped for specimen collection. The sample is sealed in your presence, labeled with a unique identifier, and logged into a chain-of-custody form that you and the collector both sign. This documentation ensures your sample remains traceable from collection to lab analysis.

Once the sample reaches the laboratory, it undergoes immunoassay screening followed by confirmatory testing if any substances are detected. You leave the facility with a receipt showing the date, time, and type of test performed, and results are typically available to the requesting party within two to four business days depending on the panel ordered.

Family First Urgent Care does not provide results directly to you unless you are the ordering party. If your employer or attorney requires expedited processing, let our staff know at the time of collection so we can request priority handling with the lab. We do not perform on-site instant tests for employment or legal purposes, as certified lab results carry greater legal and procedural weight.

Questions people ask before coming in

Most people want to know what to bring, how long the process takes, and who receives the results before they schedule a drug screening.

What do I need to bring for a urine drug screening?

You need a government-issued photo ID and any paperwork or requisition forms provided by your employer, attorney, or probation officer. If you do not have the forms, we can sometimes contact the requesting party directly, but this may delay your test.

How long does the collection process take?

Most collections take ten to fifteen minutes from check-in to completion. You provide a sample in a private restroom, the specimen is sealed and logged, and you receive a collection receipt before you leave.

When will I get my results?

Results go directly to the employer, attorney, or agency listed on your paperwork, typically within two to four business days. Family First Urgent Care does not release results to you unless you are the party who ordered the test.

What happens if I cannot provide a sample right away?

You can wait in our lobby and drink water until you are able to provide a sample. If you still cannot produce a specimen after a reasonable period, the attempt is documented and reported to the requesting party as a failed collection.

What types of drug panels do you offer?

We offer standard five-panel and ten-panel screenings, which test for common drug classes including marijuana, cocaine, amphetamines, opiates, and PCP. Your employer or legal representative will specify which panel they require on the requisition form.

Family First Urgent Care processes dozens of employment and legal drug screenings each week using the same chain-of-custody procedures required by federal and state agencies. If you need testing completed today, contact us to confirm we have the correct forms and can accommodate your timeline.
