Dennis Edgardo C. Mojares, Sr., MD was born in the Philippines. He attained his medical degree from the University of Santo Tomas, Philippines. When he came to the United States, he completed a three year residency training in Pathology and General Medicine at Overlook Hospital, Summit, NJ. His interests lead him to a five year General Surgery residency at Newark Beth Israel Medical Center, Newark, NJ. He specialized in Vascular Surgery and completed another year in Transplant Surgery. While working in the Emergency Department throughout his residency training years, he decided to pursue a career in this exciting field. He was appointed the Medical Director of the Emergency Dept of Overlook Hospital for 6 years. He established an Emergency Residency training program at Overlook Hospital in affiliation with Columbia University Medical School, NYC. He also published several Emergency Medicine articles.
In 1981, he opened the Walk-In Medical Treatment Office in West Long Branch, NJ. It was one of the first four Urgent Care Centers in the state of NJ, and the first in Monmouth County. He has been treating the community for generations. He was active in Monmouth County Medical Society.
His years of experience in 3 specialties (General Surgery and Vascular Surgery, Pathology, and Emergency Medicine) provide him with confidence in treating urgent medical conditions.
He lives in Lakewood with is wife Cirly. He has four sons, and ten grandchildren. He enjoys spending time with the grandkids!

Richard A. Mojares, MD, FAAP was born and raised in New Jersey. He received his Bachelor's Degree in Biology and Pre-Med education from Muhlenberg College. After graduating St. George's University School of Medicine, his interests in treating patients of all ages steered him to pursue a four year combined Internal Medicine and Pediatric residency training program. He completed this training at the University of Medicine and Dentistry of NJ- New Jersey Medical School (UMDNJ-NJMS), University Hospital, Newark. During his residency training years, he was nominated for the Golden Apple Award in Teaching 2 years in a row, and recipient of this prestigious award on the 2nd year. He also received the esteemed Arnold P. Gold Award for Humanism and Role Model in Medicine. After completing his four year residency training, he spent an extra year teaching the younger resident doctors, interns, and medical students as Primary Care Chief Resident in Medicine. He is dual board certified by the American Board of Internal Medicine and the American Board of Pediatrics. Dr. Rich, as his patients call him, joined his father in 2002 practicing in Monmouth County. He provides primary care as well as urgent care for any walk-in sick patients. He is trained in treating patients of all ages from infants to adults.
Dr. Rich is on the medical staff at Monmouth Medical Center in Long Branch, Jersey Shore Medical Center in Neptune, and Healthsouth Rehabilitation Hospital of Tinton Falls. He is currently Vice-President of the Medical Staff at Healthsouth Rehab Hospital. He is Assistant Clinical Professor of UMDNJ-NJMS, as he enjoys teaching medical students. He is also a clinical preceptor for Medical resident doctors of Monmouth Medical Center, and Nurse Practioner students of Monmouth University as well as Rutgers University.
He enjoys SCUBA diving, coaching sports for his kids, and playing basketball and golf.
Dr. Rich resides in Monmouth County with his wife Michelle and his four children.
